Is it crafting or hoarding

While hunting through my old magazines for inspiration I came across an article in the Molly Makes magazine by Sarah Montrose called an ode to craft obsession that certainly struck a chord with me.

Put down the knitting we need to go out

I am not, nor ever have been,  one of these people that gets obsessed with just one craft. I love knitting and crochet and all though it is an all consuming need to do it, the butterflies in the stomach when you walk into a yarn store or receive your new stash of wool it doesn’t stop there. I get that with all crafts papercraft, sewing and quilting, screen printing, painting and drawing you name it and I will give it a try.

There should be a health warning on the Create and Craft channel because whatever I watch I have an overwhelming need to buy it and give it a try.  Although I did stop myself buying a jewellery kit recently, but I am not kidding myself it will only be a matter of time before that will be my new hobby of choice.

As the article suggests I love all crafts and I do find that I can get very distracted by my latest crafty project but I have become more focused and I do finish my projects now, although I always have at least 5 or 6 things that I am working on at the same time.

My growing stash of everything crafty  is growing by the day, but on the plus side my 2 girls have recently flown the nest so its just me and the three dogs now, and I’m sure that as long as their walks are on time and their food is put down there will be no complaint from them.  I just need to exercise a little bit of willpower or my empty nest will be overflowing with craft supplies and I will have to be dug out.

I suppose as long as my children are settled and happy, my dogs are contented and the craft supplies keep rolling in my life is complete.

So keep on crafting Please subscribe to my newsletter to see where the madness ends. Got to go to get my latest delivery from Create and craft.
